Maidenform Launches Backless Bra Innovation This Month
Hi Ladies and internet friends. One things that is still a problem for most of women is when we have to stitch together the back of our bra. Sometimes I need to call my husband to do it for me.
But now, when I do the googling for my post, I found an article from couple of weeks ago about the breakthrough to help us with our problem, a backless bra. The idea was first invented by 40 years-old Elaine Cato.
At that time, all she wanted was to look hot for a New Year’s Eve party, but she has the problem just like any of us may ever have, she could not find a backless bra that worked to support her 34DD bust after nursing the baby.
“When I couldn’t find anything on the market to support this outfit, I thought maybe I could take one of my bras and alter it,” says Cato in USATODAY “I started to experiment with reconfiguring the straps.”
She later cut and sewed her old bras together and created a backless bra that has five other configurations, including halter and crisscross. She was granted the patent for her innovation back in 2000.
Cato’s design has won an attention from Maidenform with a licensing offer. And early this month they have launch the product on sale at retailers for a suggested price of $32. The new backless bra has adjustable straps that are attached to the outside edge of the cups in the front, loop over the shoulder and come back under the arm to attach to sturdy but pliable 2-inch wings that extend back from the cups.

LOL! How lovely to have a blog devoted entirely to bras! It is a good thing actually, a bra can make or break an outfit, so perhaps it is a good thing that someone is putting out more information about bras. BTW that looks like a great innovation, how comfortable is it?
