Nutrition and Physical Activity for Better Cancer Prevention
Hi Ladies and my internet friends, I hope you all are in good health and happy today. Unfortunately I have a slight of pain on my right leg, and my office colleague today was so kind to share her coffee on my body
It’s not her fault as she was talking with my other colleague while walking and didn’t see me infront of her.

Today I found an interesting article from the American Cancer Society and I think it would be nice to share the article here with you all. It’s about Living Smart, the cheapest way to stay healthy and cancer prevention. The article also talk about how nutrition that we eat while combining with proper physical activity can be more helpful.
One thing that is good for us to pay attention is to watch our portion size! I know, that means the more over weight we are, the biggest risk to have cancer. One thing that is easier to do is to cutting back on sugar, fat, and calories that we eat each day.
Try to use half the salad dressing or mayonnaise we usually use. If we have no choice but to order a hamburger, try to order a regular one instead of the double. One more thing that we must remember, low-fat and fat-free doesn’t always mean low-calorie.
We also have to pay attention and read carefully before we buy any low fat food so we can have the highest benefit from it. Any low fat foods that are high in calories (contains sugar and other refined carbohydrates) won’t necessarily help control your weight. Try substituting vegetables, fruits, and whole grains that are less sugar contains for higher calorie foods.
After taking care of what we eat, we also have to adopt more physically active lifestyle. At least 30 minutes of vigorous physical activity, above our usual daily activities, on five days or more in a week; 45 to 60 minutes of intentional physical activity are preferable to reduce the risk of colon and breast cancer.
For children and adolescents should get at least 60 minutes per day of moderate to vigorous physical activity at least five days a week.
Now, after reading this blog, if you haven’t done it already today, shut-down your computer go outside or drive to the gym and do some exercise
I think I will have to do the physical activity once again, like using the stairs to go up to the 4th floor where my office room is located, uughh!
If you want to read more about their useful informations, you can download the pdf file. Until then, stay healthy, be active!

Great ideas! I usually take a walk on my lunch break. I also ride the bus, so I get extra mileage walking to the bus stop.
